an old standby.

There are days when you just don't know what to cook. You want to make something that will make you and your loved one happy, but it just isn't in you. You just don't want to think too much about it. Enter Gnocchi Gorgonzola. This recipe has been one of my husband's favorites from the beginning and it tastes great. If you want to make it easy on yourself, you can just head to your local grocery store, grab a package of pre-made gnocchi and some gorgonzola or blue cheese and a pint of heavy cream and you are all set for a great dinner. Add in a salad and a loaf of bread to mop up the leftover sauce and you are golden. If you want to make it difficult on yourself, you can make the gnocchi from scratch... but I haven't done that yet. Maybe next time. Until then, the store-bought kind still makes for a pretty good dinner.

Gnocchi Gorgonzola
1-2 packages store bought gnocchi

1 pound Gorgonzola

Cook gnocchi per package directions. Place the cream in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer. Whisk in the cheese and season with salt and pepper. Toss the gnocchi with the cream sauce. Spoon onto a large serving platter. Garnish with black pepper.
